Crocin is a popular brand of medications used to treat cold, fever, headache, ear pain and menstrual cramps in India. Specifically, Crocin Advance contains acetaminophen or paracetamol as its active ingredient. Acetaminophen/paracetamol is an analgesic and anti-pyretic, which can reduce pain and lower fever. If the symptoms of either pain or fever are present in a cold, Crocin Advance will therefore be useful to treat the cold. However, in cases where there is no pain or fever, Crocin Advance will not be effective.
